This shingle is being reclaimed from the Bracklesham end of Medmerry. It has been washed off of our end of the beach and the lateral Westward drift has allowed its migration. Shame the groynes had been removed, otherwise this process need not have been employed. If the material had not been brought back there was a serious chance of 'over topping' or even breaching by the rough seas. Thankfully we are entering the waning days of the spring tides and the winds are easing.
