There was something very different about this photo when compared with many others taken from the same point. That is; where the outfall from broad rife protrudes into the sea, once upon a time it was within the curve of a bay. Now it has the curve of bays either side. 
I wonder if it could be to do with the fact that the Groynes have been removed!
